Don't you think life is full of surprises and it's nothing but coincidence? I keep getting reminded about that every single day.
Take your career for example. Isn't it just a coincidence that you were in the right place at the right time and that your (at that time future) boss decided that YOU're the person for the job? I mean, anything could have made him/her think that you're the right candidate, e.g. the color of your shoes, the way you behaved during an interview, and yes, your qualifications as well...which gets me to the next point.
Qualifications. This area as most people think is only dependent on our interests, abilities, skills, etc, right? WRONG! It's coincidence too people! Take me for example (oh I feel so self-centered): I'm an English teacher. Yes, I wanted to become one since my last year in high school, but what made me learn and love the language in the first place? What? I'll tell you what: a mother (my Mum) asking a seven-year-old daughter whether she wanted to learn English, just because the kid could count (in English) to ten (thank you Sesame Street). And my answer "Ok", (not even a very convincing one) made me end up loving the language and well, becoming an ESL teacher.
English... hmm... it had quite a big influence on my love life as well. Why? Because my boyfriend (xxx) is British. How we met? COINCIDENCE!!! FATE!!! CALL-IT-WHATEVER-YOU-WANT!!!! So basically, we met just like 90% of the population of this planet...in the last place we would expect to meet somebody and when we least expected it. Isn't that right J? ;-)
What else can I say? I don't really mind coincidence controlling my life. You won't see me complain.
Over and out for now.
